The Cretanthos Βio Early Harvest Olive Oil from Monumental Olive Trees is produced from 2 monumental olives of the well-known “Koroneiki” variety (based on the DNA TEST carried out on each one of them) located in the UNESCO-certified Cretanthos Olive Park in Angeliana Village in North of Mylopotamos in Crete.
The hand picked harvesting begins early in the last days of September to harvest only unripe, green olives. This combined with the very old age of these specific olive trees results in the production of a much limited amount of olive oil, but with a high content of valuable polyphenols. This limited product is producing by cold press method, it is filtering, storing and standardising almost immediately with a closed nitrogen system. Furthermore we test it twice. First of all with chemical and finally with panel test analyses. As a result we ensure that its quality meets our high standards. Moreover it is certified by the Ecological organisation DIO as an organic farming product.It has already win too many awards for excellent quality by worldwide organisations as one of the best early harvest olive oils from Greece and continues to get awarded every year that we manage to produce it.
This olive oil has an intense golden-green color and is characterized by: Intense fruity, mild bitterness and strong pungency
